Licence Overview

Perform the building work:

  • Building construction, erection, assembly, or placement.
  • Renovation, alteration, extension,
  • improvement, or repair of a building.
  • Assembly, reassembly, or securing of a relocated building.
  • Alteration of ground levels on land that could impact neighbouring properties during tasks mentioned in the first three points.
  • Site work on land related to the activities in the first four points.

Notes:

For individuals, partnerships and companies that intend to trade as builders.

Allows a business to provide services as a builder for work that requires a building permit, has a value of at least $20,000

Technical Qualifications

Building contractors must have a ‘nominated supervisor’, who is a registered building practitioner. See practitioner requirements above.
