Licence Overview

Perform the building work:

Building construction, erection, assembly, or placement.
Renovation, alteration, extension,
improvement, or repair of a building.
Assembly, reassembly, or securing of a relocated building.
Alteration of ground levels on land that could impact neighbouring properties during tasks mentioned in the first three points.
Site work on land related to the activities in the first four points.

Notes:

For individuals, partnerships and companies that intend to trade as builders.

Allows a business to provide services as a builder for work that requires a building permit, has a value of at least $20,000

Technical Qualifications

Building contractors must have a ‘nominated supervisor’, who is a registered building practitioner. See practitioner requirements above.
